The Vermont Bookstore Tour was hatched by The Vermont Bookshop in Middlebury as a way to spread indie bookstore love. It’s been championed by bookstores around the state to introduce people to all our unique bookstore personalities. Every indie bookstore has its own vibe, which is just one reason they are so fun to visit and explore!

Travel around our beautiful state to discover them all!

On behalf of Vermont Indie Bookstores

Friends Reading a Book Together

Thank you for choosing to buy your books from independent bookstores, because if you love visiting indies and want to keep doing so, we need to sell books!

To find an indie near you visit Indie Bound.

Or shop at Bookshop.org, which ships directly to you and profit-shares with indies nationwide. (Or open your own bookshop!)

Audiobook reader? Libro.fm also profit shares with indies, and you actually own the audio files you purchase.

Buy books from people who love books and don’t care about launching rocketships.
